Games on Google+ were a certain inevitability. Games Arrive Anyone could read the writing on the wall, however. But the one thing it lacked which many of those early adopters were most excited about was game updates. What they found was a social network that was largely a lonely, empty place. Included among the huddled masses were those eager to defect from the nation of Facebook, acquiring invitations to Google's fledgling network by any means they could. In that time, the network quickly grew as millions of early adopters jumped on board to see what it was all about. It's been just over two months since Google's social network, Google+, went live. Users social in-boxes are not swamped by nonsense about mafia bosses or farmyards.īut how can a developer hope to attract new players if it isn't immediately obvious that people are playing their game? This investigation hopes to yield some answers. Notifications, updates and requests all remain neatly tucked away out of sight, out of mind. That is to say, what happens in Google+ Games stays in Google+ Games. As it stands now, Google has adopted an opt-in policy when it comes to games on Google+.
